One-pot synthesis of highly dispersed mesoporous Cu/ZrO2 catalysts for NH3-SCR

Catalysts consisting of highly dispersed copper on a mesoporous ZrO2 support were synthesised via one-pot sol-gel synthesis and tested for the selective catalytic reduction NOx by NH3. The dispersion was investigated XRD TEM, which showed no discernible oxide particles up to 6 wt% Cu, while they detected at 15 Cu. NH3 adsorption SCR reaction followed in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) synthesized 3 Cu/ZrO2. Cu found improve capacity catalyst enhancing Lewis functionality. catalysts efficient low temperature, 150 °C 75% NO converted over Cu/ZrO2 water-free conditions. Increasing loading maintaining improved conversion.
